   2008 V-Day Taipei Program

   In 2008, V-Day Taipei enters its fourth year of celebrating women and working to end violence, and joins hundreds of cities around the world to celebrate "V to the Tenth." With 10 events including "The Vagina Monologues," a staged reading of the new V-Day book "A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant, and a Prayer," a showing of the documentary "Until the Violence Stops," an awareness event entitled "The Clothesline Project," and numerous fundraising events, we hope to make V-Day 2008 the biggest yet.

    

    In honor of the 10^th anniversary of V-Day, ten outstanding women will serve as this year’s spokespersons. They include: Taipei City Councilors Bi-Chu Wu and Chia-Ching Hsu; Discovery Channel host  Janet Hsieh; writer Ang Li; Professor Yu-Xiu Liu; Dr. Hui-Wen Deng; singer Fang Wan; painter Xiao-Ping Zhang; judge Feng-Xian Gao; and actress Si-Hui Du. Furthermore, Fang Wan and Si-Hui Du will perform in this year’s ”The Vagina Monologues”
